I was hoping Biffle would win because Ford didn’t take any bailout money.
To: Steelfish
I got home in time to catch the last 38 laps.

#29 should have been the winner.

Good race...Mac deserved a Daytona...he’s a good kid who has been in and out of the thick for a few years now. This will extend his career.

Great race, the Earnhardt blood line carries on!!! Fantastic finish. Congats to Jamie MacMurray for his great win, and to Earnhardt, Jr. for his second place finish. IMHO, Earnhardt, did not press Jamie, possibly because he knew what the win would mean to the “kid”. Earnhardt, Jr., your pop would have been proud of you tonight. Thanks, NASCAR, America is stronger because of your powerful positive presence.

NASCAR has him in a Ford.

McMurray drove a Ford last year for Roush but now he is driving for DEI/Ganassi and they are chevys.
To: stevef4546
That makes sense. NASCAR.com needs to update itself.

Good analysis. I was wondering why Jr. didn’t push for the win because it looked like he could have made it.

I'm no racing expert. Still, it's unbelievable that a pot hole stopped the race. One of the biggest races on the schedule, and you can't get the track in shape because it's been raining lately? How do you even get a pothole in Florida anyway? All the ones in my neighborhood are caused by ice.
I'm sure this is nobody's fault, but combined with the tragedy in Vancouver and the opening ceremony snafu in Vancouver, it hasn't been a good week for sports engineering.

They lost me when the track fell apart. I didn’t want to see someone get killed just because they had to finish to fulfill a TV contract.
To: Steelfish
this race was a disgrace. Showing the filling of potholes on live TV. This sport needs a makeover.
