Our insurance company doesn’t cover regular colonoscopys until you’ve reached your deductible. The test runs between $3000-5000 here. Our deductible is $5000. That could be why a lot of people aren’t having the exam. They can’t afford it.

Actually most insurance companies don't cover it because it hasn't been proven to be any more effective in detecting colon cancer than other tests that are less expensive.
