Obama's admission proves that Ezra Klein and Politifact lie and can't be trusted

Posted on 02/16/2010 2:44:59 PM PST by Halfmanhalfamazing

In an article titled "Page 16 of the House Health-Care Bill Does Not Make Insurance Illegal The Washington Compost's "rising star" on various things tries to take on the claim about how page 16 doesn't really make private individual coverage illegal.

I knew this was false for two reasons:

1: Ezra didn't give you the text of the bill. That right there is a tip off. If you wish to see the text of page 16, take a look here at a more honest conservative media outlet. Page 94 of the newer house bill contains virtually the same language.

2: Ezra is a known leftist, to those who have actually taken a look around. Watch this video if you wish to see his own words, at 1:06.

Obama admits Dems snuck in health care provisions(video available in link)

"The last thing I will say, though - let me say this about health care and the health care debate, because I think it also bears on a whole lot of other issues. If you look at the package that we've presented - and there's some stray cats and dogs that got in there that we were eliminating, we were in the process of eliminating. For example, we said from the start that it was going to be important for us to be consistent in saying to people if you can have your - if you want to keep the health insurance you got, you can keep it, that you're not going to have anybody getting in between you and your doctor in your decision making. And I think that some of the provisions that got snuck in might have violated that pledge."

I detest and reject the notion that they got 'snuck in', as if Obama and his precious healthcare bill are both victims of the eeeeeeeeevil democrats in congress, but that's not my focus here.

*WHICH PROVISIONS* is Obama talking about?

He is talking about page 16. And he is talking about page 94 of the newer bill.

Obama's admission also proves that the St Pete Slimes' Politifact website is a fraud and unreliable. They write:

GOP health bill analysis meets the Truth-O-Meter

The very first part of their analysis is about page 94. They call it false when in fact it is true.

It's high time that Politifact corrected the error and issued a correction. As for Ezra, I don't expect anything from an ideologue that committed to the cause.

I know it'll be said at some point "But but but! Healthcare is dead". This post isn't about healthcare. It's about the media.

Politifact’s only Facts are What They decide are facts!

I quit going to their site when they started ‘spinning’ the facts on how well Obama has been doing/trying on his campaign promises!
