Back in 1980 I was helping with a bird control project in Tanzania. Quelea were the problem. We found one nesting site that contained between 5 & 10 million birds. The ornithologists on the project said that they would eat a ton of grain per day.
One flock in Botswana was supposed to be 100 million birds!
