Too bad there is no way to blur text in such a way that crappy reading glasses will make it Cristal clear.
I understand that.
I have had bifocals for decades. I have to use the lower portion for computer monitor viewing.
A couple of years ago, I finally decided to get new glasses, knowing it would be a hassle.
Sure enough. I kept telling the optometrist that I NEEDED to be able to read a computer monitor at arms length plus 2 feet through the bottom lens. Every new set of lenses was too weak. After the 5th set of lenses in two months, I told her I wanted my money back and I would go elsewhere.
I did. Got a pair from another optometrist. They were better.
I would have just kept the lenses from the old pair, as the frame was falling apart, but the upper lens needed changing. [I had had those lenses and frame 25 years.]

I have many, but some of my 'must haves' are
- FEBE - automatically backs up Firefox settings and extensions
- Fetch Text URL - [right click on like gives options for opening it]
- FireShot and Screengrab - allow screencapturing and saving
- Forecastfox - shows weather conditions
- Interclue - can open a pop-up of a link
- KeyScrambler - protects against keyloggers - good to scramble passwords, banking, etc.
- Map This - opens any street address in a Google Maps window.
- Memory Fox - is supposed to release memory when tabs are closed
- NoSquint - resizes webpage text and graphics
- ReminderFox - is a reminder and To-Do lister
- Tab Mix Plus - enhances tab browsing

I was an early adopter of Opera. It was my standard browser from about v2.5 or so. I used it when you had to pay for it. But after v7.23, they hosed the interface, so I couldn’t “upgrade” anymore.
Gradually more and more sites wouldn’t work with it, so I needed a browser, and I started using Firefox for the sites that wouldn’t work with Opera, till now I use it exclusively. Opera is highly customizable, so I could probably fix it, but I don’t have the time, and why should I have to anyway? It’s kind of a pain in the ass, cause I haven’t found an email client I like as well that can import all my 15,000 Opera emails or whatever, so I’m still running Opera 7.23 as my email client, and Firefox for a browser.

AdBlock Plus
BBCodeXtra — for formatting posts in HTML, XHTML, and BBCODE — use it all the time on FR posts
BugMeNot — stored usernames for a lot of websites
FEBE — Firefox Environment Backup Extension
CLEO — back up all your addons into one installable package — works with FEBE
Greasemonkey — script manager for Firefox — you can get a Greasemonkey tree view script that shows FR threads in actual threaded mode
NoScript
