Jeff Bridges, 60, is tipped to win an Oscar for his portrayal of a fading music star in Crazy Heart (out today). It’s the fourth time he’s been up for the gong. Married for 32 years and a father of three, Bridges is a devoted social activist and was one of the founders of the End Hunger Network.
How much fun was it making Crazy Heart?
You sing, play the guitar and drink a lot. I can’t think of a film I had more fun on. It was a ball – and I sang, which was great. I’ve been singing and writing music since I was a kid so it was a big gift.
How did you relate to your character, Bad Blake, who is always drunk?
I know what it’s like, I’ve done it many times.
But you have the drinking under control?
I think so. Sometimes you can get too much in the groove of the booze but I feel best when I’m healthy and not drinking too much.

He was on Regis and Kelly last week and never mentioned his love of Obambi....funny though, it used to be every “celebrity” that was on would always bring up the Muslim....doesn’t happen anymore....wonder if they’ve figured out that everytime they do, they lose another “fan”....I was going to buy this when it came out on DVD but guess I won’t now....
