Out of curiosity I looked up pictures of the lynx, and you sure are right. Gotta love FR.

[Daffynition]

Lynx tails appear much the same when viewed from the top (top) or bottom (bottom). The lynx tail tip is completely black all around, while bobcat tails show black bars with a white tip when viewed from above (top) and show a lot of stripes

Note the foot size and color differences between lynx (left) and bobcat (right).
