The libtards just love when high profile conservatives attack each other. Saves them a lot of trouble.
Bill Bennett is a RINO like Newt “Dede” Gingrich et al.
As for Beck, if he is advocating a third party for conservatives (and I don't listen to him enough to know whether he is or not), I think that would be a mistake at this point because the splintering effect would help the Marxists. However, someone needs to keep the Republicans honest, because they drift leftward any time the heat is not being put on them. And if Beck helps to keep them honest he is doing all of us a favor.
And, by the way, while I like Levin it appears he is extremely jealous of Beck so I try to keep that in mind when I hear of him criticizing Beck.
GLEN BECK IS SELLING AMERICA OUT BIG TIME. I DON’T LISTEN TO HIM ANYMORE.
If only Beck, would take a break from the “Look at me” tour and focus on advocating conservative principles we would be better off.
How many fricking, “9/12 movements”, “refounding project”, “9 Principles/ 11 truths”, “Christmas Sweater”, “Beck Riley Concerts” can we stomach.
I think Beck’s mistake was that by placing Obama and his socialists in the same pool with Republicans, he perhaps inadvertently mitigated Obama’s polices.
Point very well made. Beck is unwittingly turning the conservative movement into a caricature.
I parted paths with bennet when I read his justification for the drug war about 15 years ago.
I have never touched anything stronger than weed and even that ended back in 1977, when it was $10 a lid and weak by todays standards. I am also for total legalization, like with alcohol.
I don’t get it. Mark is wonderful, but this looks peevish on his part. Is this some manner of ill-conceived turf war?
I loved Glenn’s book. How is he selling us out?
He mentioned how hard it is to write one single book.
Mentioned ‘some talk show host’ (Beck) who has ‘written’ six in about a year...
Mentioned that the same guy was charging $80 to $120 to go to a show and learn about the constitution.
It was GREAT!
I really don’t think so. Rather, Beck has been all over the place to the point that he now generally lumps all Republicans with Obama socialists. In one post, we have someone calling Bill Bennett a “socialist” and this is someone who has written extensively about the need to have universal school-choice and is adamantly pro-choice.
We have his book, "The Book of Virtues", prominently displayed in a bookshelf so folks can see it - upside down.
I liked his speech at Cpac, it was quite rousing, and think what it did more than anything, is scare the crap out of the establishment gop. hopefully they took notice. I’m a Libertarian, and I don’t even vote third party and I live in a democrat controlled state where it probably wouldn’t make a difference anyways.
Last thing I want is to see a bunch of kids on meth
Bennett stinks. Levin Good. Beck is out there.
Are you nuts! Are you in to collaborating with the Communists or what?
He is more a conservative libertarian. As most people are when they really think about it.
He isn’t selling out at all, he is just jumping around to too many sides and acting a fool. I don’t, however, think he isn’t sincere. He is like a kid going into college trying to decide on his career and acting goofy- in this case he is trying to find his political voice but still acting goofy.
He has done some good things, exposing corruption in czars or fake tea party candidates like Medina.
Beck’s not obligated to present any particular philosophy, or opinion.
The bitchin’ about Beck’s zany ways is itself reaching a point of hysteria.
If a guy like Beck can disrupt ‘Conservatism’, then ‘Conservatism’ is a hoax along with all the Charlestons that claim to be ‘Conservative’.
I agree with Glenn Beck. There really is not a dime’s worth of difference between most of the Republicans in the House and the Senate AND the dems@
Beck is about to discuss the rumor he’s for a third party on his show, in the next segment.
Is that you Olbermann?
I had a snit fit, (technical term hee!) on Beck a couple of weeks ago when he said everyone needed to suffer now and basically let the chips fall where they may in the too big to fail corporations. Beck had not suffered. He has used this crisis to gain popularity and I might add, he used online sources and information to create his theories. But others have suffered horribly and I wondered how they felt that more was coming.
Then I heard part of his CPAC speech and I was ecstatic. I agree both parties have at times legislated Unconstitutional law. I agree both parties have spent like there was a endless supply of money.
For me his message was, “Listen up republicans, get back to the party of conservatism or you are gone.”
I am confused. I heard Beck say that the GOP needs to admit they screwed up and battle big government. He didn’t say to leave the GOP, he said the GOP needs to change. Hard to disagree. They do fine as a minority party, but they need to present what they would do as a majority party.
Not that Beck doesn’t flirt with the idea of a third party in other venues, but he didn’t on Saturday. I don’t totally disagree. Either the GOP needs to become conservative or lose our support. Right now, they seem to be doing the right things.
>> I loved Glenns book. How is he selling us out?
There’s nothing to sell out. He’s just a guy with a point view - some don’t like it, and some don’t get it.
so don’t be upset if I don’t listen to you
A lot of people jumped on Tiger when he showed that he was man enough to admit he did wrong, apologize and said he was going to all that he could do to live the life that he took the vows to do.
Come on, be honest. Who in the GOP RINO party has even admitted to making a mistake.
Beck sees things way clearer than most and he has balls enough to speak about what he sees and knows to be true.
The only opinion you will hear Beck make is one that he says that he hopes he is wrong but one that the TRUTH leaves no room to hide.
I am disgusted with 70% of all members of the GOP and the fact that Lindsay Graham is still a member says way more than I need to.
Mark Levin might need to grow a pair too
After Becks show today. I love Rush and all, still do, but Beck is more believable, unless you want Romney.
One of the few times I disagree with Mark. Love them Both. But Beck is right on this one!
Great questions, but don’t expect many answers from the anti Beck crowd
I will stick with Beck, n00b.
I don’t think there is an anti Beck crowd.
But there is a legit...what’s he today.
Conservative, off the cliff libertarian fruitcake, Commie destroyer, equivocating the R with the D...
He’s slightly schizoid.
Beck is challenging conservatives to take back their party, and to reject candidates who are not constitutionalists.
Same thing you hear on FR every day of the week.
That sounds pretty uncontroversial to me.
So when “conservatives” start going after conservatives instead of going after O and the anti-constitutionalists, I smell a rat.
The GOP establishment was falling all over itself to prove its bi-partisan bona fides until an ex-governor and a couple of talk show hosts started pushing back, and the rank and file threw a public fit while sipping tea. Out of that, a few GOP politicians managed to find their spines, and more than a few Dem politicians have panicked and started back-pedaling away from their messiah.
The list of public people who stopped Obama is pretty short. Beck is on that list, along with Limbaugh and a couple of other talkers, and Palin, and DeMint, and Inhofe, and a very few others. Anyone attacking these people I am immediately suspicious of. When we get to the primary season, I expect to see Repubs going after each other. When we’re in the middle of a fight to stop an anti-constitutionalist takeover, I expect allies to stick together.
I like Bennet’s show, but I agree with you on his incredible blind spot when it coems to the War on Drugs!
Beck said on his show today that he is not advocating a third party.
I like Levin and I like Beck, and I wish Levin would leave the sniping to the Rats and their MSM propaganda machine.
If the conservative base of the country, along with those that call themselves independents, had not raised holy heck, the Republicans would have folded their opposition tents, and signed on. Republicans LIVE to compromise, to find the "middle ground" of any power grab the D's will come up with.
I think Levin needs to take a look at WHY beck has resonated so much with conservative/libertarian types in the GOP.
Bush was not a Conservative/Libertarian Republican, he was more of a Big Government Social Interventionist type Republican. There is a big difference between the two.
...about just as many Hannity 'Freedom Concerts'; I would wager. Let them ALL make money...no one is twisting anybody's arm.
>> Beck said on his show today that he is not advocating a third party.
I like Levin and I like Beck, and I wish Levin would leave the sniping to the Rats and their MSM propaganda machine. <<
Beck doesn’t outwardly attack Levin, something Beck is saying must be gaining Levin’s Ire and hitting hit at home quite closely.
Re Post 30....Perfect
Would we even recognize his voice if he did?
Possibly all the confusion people are feeling is really not from Beck, but from the labels we insist upon, eventhough their meanings keep changing. The classic liberal would now be a conservative, liberals and progressives keep interchanging, the things that Democrats used to stand for, such as the little guy, privacy, etc. are now owned by conservatives who seem to be different from, yet somehow the same as Republicans and so forth. It has gotten to the point that there is so much confusion and sleight of hand from politicians trying to position themselves, that the labels are very confusing. THAT is intentional and I think it may be what Beck is trying to get at. The only thing that you can look for as a constant is TRUTH. See who is doing what they say, who seems to be speaking the truth and when you have decided then go with that person regardless of the label.
Labels should be shorthand to clarify, but they have been used to bypass our critical thinking and put us on automatic pilot when we vote. People no longer think of themselves as “voting Democrat or Republican”, instead they think they ARE a Democrat or Republican...which is quite different...as in “I am choosing apple pie” vs. “I AM apple pie.” Many people I know think they are Democrats, but when the issues are discussed without the label, they are actually Republicans. In addition I think there is a lot of jealousy of Beck for being successful and for daring to tread into intellectual areas as a self-made man. The Ivy League people are intimdated about ceding any of their degree conferred power or power connections to someone who didn’t come up through the elite approved system and get the proper degrees and “pedigrees.” They could as easily stress points of agreement and advance the cause while gently nudging about disagreements...but they choose instead to worry about things like Beck’s books and popularity.
clearly you don’t watch his show or you would know he is talking about PROGRESSIVEs in BOTH parties and is not advocating a third party.
He placed Progressive Republicans — like John McCain, Lindsay Graham in with the democrats... not all Republicans.
This is a policy debate between talking heads on one side- Which is healthy..
Should’ve said this, shouldn’t have said that....I would’ve, could’ve... Like Beck set back the Conservative movement because of one hour of standing ovations in Washington DC exposing truth to power... He’s a so called newcomer that is a threat to those who have been down with the struggle..
Sounds like Sharpton and Jackson if you ask me..
I love to see these talking heads recapping their own speeches to feel self-important on their programs today..
Glenn had me from Who’s in the White House- Bush, Bush Bush, Bush song-
He’s got a conservative friend in me...
