The company he worked for reduced his salary on paper, and gave him an American Express gold card with which he purchased goods and services for himself. It was not counted as remuneration, not taxed, and the company wrote everything off as a business expense. Pretty nifty, huh?

If it can be proved with back up, both he and the company who did that are in serious trouble, just for starters tax evasion.
