Compared to an iPad it has a bigger screen, twice the battery life, all sorts of needed connectors including an HDMI connection, camera, multi-tasking and more. And it is supposed to come out at $350... will be the first great test of the newest Nvidia Tegra cpu/gpu chip...
Thanks Ernest.

"Listening to music with the screen turned off can be done for 140 hours straight, and HD video playback can go on for up to ten hours".
Steve says that iPad will offer ~140 hours of continuous music playback provided the screen display is turned "off" while the battery will last for ~10 hours if you use it for reading books. Steve says that the iPad chip [A4] doesn't use much power but the screen does. I guess the numbers would be similar for web surfing as well.

I want to see its military attributes, if not for armed services members then for a militia force. Being used for everything from medical trauma procedures on how to operate heavy equipment, a person with one of these can become a specialist much quicker than traditional classroom training and it can be done in the field.

So the pad is the chalkboard...makes sense.

We are proving that the computing devices can be made by the Gadzillion...

Next step...what do we do with them and how much labor to program them....

This pad and others like it if used conservatively can be an excellent tool against a massive Marxist or Communist regime.

To put this into context what would a country like the Peoples republic of North Korea would evolve into if they suddenly had acces to non-propaganda news and information?

They have no idea what is happening outside their border, they are prisoners in body, soul and mind.

We have the MSM and TV, now if we circumvent the news channels like MSNBC, CNN and even FOX to get real news, real facts about polls, real election facts then we have a shield against them and they become neutered.

I’m just a casual interested type of person in this but I see a breakaway technological leap here, and I do NOT want our enemies to control it.
