Jemian, sorry to hear about your fractured skull and, of course, those two disks. Prayers have been covering you since the fall and they will continue until you are safe and sound!
What a wonderful opportunity for JT. He is a great person, from what we hear/know on ATRW, and he has super supportive, loving parents who raised him right. Congratulations to all of you!
Thank you. I ernestly desire those prayers and also give some of the credit back to y’all for upholding and reinforcing the beliefs I hold and which I used to help raise the kids.
While it doesn’t take a village, you all have helped influence JT and deserve some of the credit as well.
I sure hope so. I don’t know if the screaming media is giving him any notice...I haven’t seen anything on FR. The comous are pretty deep into the mean side of politics.
Got home about 2 hours ago. Good to be here. Filled the bird feeders right away and now relaxing with a cup of tea.

Good evening. Yes, church is on. It was supposed to snow, but it hasn’t started yet. Yes, please think up another excuse. It would be wonderful to meet you and hubby.
Great! Perhaps sometime in 2011 when we get back to the states. Maybe sometime going or coming we’ll contrive a long layover.
Spring is coming. It won’t be snowing forever.
I got a company laptop assigned to me so I don't have to swing by the office on weekends. I get to work right here at home and I can remotely log in to my workstation at work and, other than the slower transfers of data over the internet, it is like I'm sitting at my desk. Sweet.
I can imagine. The phrase “happy as a hog in the wallow” or something like that comes to mind.

Which has provided me with no small amusement.
I have sent him the emails which I sent to all family members just to keep them informed. It's kinda embarrassing to read online or hear from a stranger something which has happened to one of your relatives. So, I kept them in the loop.
But JT was out of it. So, I'm napping this afternoon and all of a sudden I hear, "Pin silver wings on my son's chest...". What in the world? Oh, wait! It must be JT. Yup, it was he. So, I wake up and talk to him. I'm asking him questions about what it was like, what the Camp where he tested was like, whether there were alligators there (that is a major fear of mine ~ those things EAT YOU), just stuff like that. He was telling me of the strenuous things he had to do, the muscle strains, the weariness, running into a stump and redamaging a leg injury that had recently healed, etc.
Then all of a sudden he says, "HOLY CRAP, MOM, DID YOU BREAK YOUR BACK AND YOUR HEAD? IS YOUR HEAD SPLIT???" He's shouting into the phone. I start to laugh because his reaction was as if I should be half-dead. I assured him that yes, the emails he was reading were correct but I was nowhere near the Grim Reaper.
Next, he gets insulting. He says something about me taking care of myself, after all, it is people like him, not people as ol...er... umm... YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE HIM who should be taking risks. THAT BOY CALLED HIS MOTHER AN OLD WOMAN!!!!! I'll "old" his face!
His reaction was funny however. I enjoyed talking with him.
Not too much longer, he told me he needed to get off the phone because it was late and he and his bride were "going to watch a movie." Yeah, I believe that. Although I call it something else.
Oops!!
