SIERRA VISTA — As part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouting in America, local Scouts showed off a variety of hands-on projects and enjoyed some outdoor games during expo in Veterans’ Memorial Park on Saturday.
Golly! Don't they know that homosexual counselors just want to free boys from the oppressive heterosexual norms forced on them by our homophobic society?
meh...the Scouts don’t need the loser media anyway.
The militant homosexual lobby has so artfully hijacked the rhetoric of genuine civil rights. That rhetoric has been cynically misapplied to the homosexual agenda, which includes mandated moral relativism, social androgyny and not just full acceptance, but celebration of a pleasure-based, sexually deviant lifestyle.
They’re working their own angles, I forget how right now, but they have a plan to skirt the LSM.

My son bridges from Cub to Boy Scouts this Saturday--in the centennial year! How special is that?
Henry Rifles has put out a .22 lever action rifle to commemorate the boy scouts 100th anniversary. It has the Boy Scout Oath engraved in gold plate. If I knew how to post pictures on here inside the article I would do it. Perhaps someone else can post it. It’s a very nice commemorative for all those former boy scouts out there.

Boy Scouts of America Centennial Commemorative Coin Act
The Boy Scouts of America Centennial Commemorative Coin Act (Public Law 110-363), signed into law on October 8, 2008, authorizes the Secretary of the Treasury to mint and issue up to 350,000 silver dollar coins in commemoration of the centennial anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. As authorized, the United States Mint will produce silver dollar coins in proof and uncirculated qualities.
Surcharges from this commemorative coin program are authorized to be paid to the National Boy Scouts of America Foundation, which will make funds available to local councils in the form of grants for the extension of scouting in hard-to-serve areas.
The Boy Scouts of America Organization
The Boy Scouts of America will celebrate its centennial anniversary on February 8, 2010. The largest youth organization in the United States, it has 2.8 million youth members and 1.1 million adult leaders in the programs of cub scouting, boy scouting and venturing. Since 1910, more than 111 million people have participated in the organization’s traditional programs. The organization was granted a federal charter in 1916 by an Act of Congress signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson.

The Coin Designs
The obverse (heads side) design depicts a Cub Scout in the foreground with a Boy Scout and female Venturer in the background saluting. Inscriptions are CONTINUING THE JOURNEY, 1910, 2010, IN GOD WE TRUST and LIBERTY. This design represents the Boy Scouts of America of today, as the organization has recognized the need to include other programs for younger boys (cub scouts) and older boys and girls (venturers), reflecting the great diversity of our nation. It is a dramatic representation of how the Boy Scouts of America has evolved over the past century to form a strong foundation of leadership, service, and community for all the youth of America.
The reverse (tails) design features the Boy Scouts of America’s universal emblem. Inscriptions are UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, BE PREPARED, E PLURIBUS UNUM and ONE DOLLAR.
Both designs were approved by Secretary of the Treasury Timothy F. Geithner on September 16, 2009, at the recommendation of the United States Mint, after consultation with the Boy Scouts of America and the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, as well as review by the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee.

Good for your son. My son’s scoutmaster let us know that the rank patchs awarded this year are unique and are only issued for the 100th year. If your son makes 2nd or 1st class, the rank patch will be a collectable item. My boy just was inducted into the Order of the Arrow and should have his eagle finished by this fall. I only made Life Scout, but I am very proud of my son for beating me. He’s off to a good start.
That is truly special. Friday night, five local Packs combined for one large Blue & Gold, and my OA group was invited to perform the Arrow of Light ceremony.

Yes, they’d rather have the Boy Scouts led by gay troop leaders — and suffer gay propaganda and gay role modeling, (not to mention, possible sexual assault) — than led by real men who will teach them how to be real men.
We took 17 scouts skeet shooting yesterday afternoon. Almost half got their shotgun merit badges on the first try.
