“Other items in the exhibit entitled “Behind the Scenes” included gloves and a knit cap from the O.J. Simpson murder trial and a rope tied around the neck of Sharon Tate and other weapons used when seven people were killed by the Manson family 40 years ago.
Debra Tate, the sister of Sharon Tate, said she and family members of other victims should have been notified in advance that evidence was going to be shown.”

Community Behind the Scenes: The LAPD Homicide Experience Exhibit at the Palms Casino Resort
WHAT: The Los Angeles Police Department to host the California Homicide Investigators Association 2010 Conference.
A unique aspect of the conference will be a first-ever Behind-The-Scenes: The LAPD Homicide Experience, a glimpse into some of the most notable homicides and critical incidents that occurred in Los Angeles over the past 100 years.
The Key West Ballroom will be transformed into a multimedia museum of photographs, video displays and actual evidence, some of which has never been seen in or outside of a courtroom.
