I can not imagine anyone sending a kid to Pubic (sic) school.
I can no longer imagine trying to raise a kid in the USA now.
I had only one, and she never went to a pubic school.
She is now 26.
I think the teachers that you are most likely to hear about are the ones with horrific or criminal judgement. The vast majority I came across while my kids were growing up were good people with solid judgement.
