Agreed. The Long Riders is a great Western. There are several memorable scenes, including the escape scene from the Northfield Bank. I liked the one with Jim Younger (Keith Carradine) riding in the woods with his cousin and they run into the Pinkerton fellas. I love it when the actors do most of their own riding, it bugs me when you can obviously tell when actors can’t ride and they only show their faces when “riding” or in long shots with stunt doubles.
It’s hard to believe that Robert Carradine could go from playing great manly characters in The Long Riders and The Big Red One to playing the lead in Revenge of the Nerds...
