“The Rapid City Police Department says Newsome, an aircraft armament system craftsman who spent nine years in the Air Force, was not cooperative when they showed up at her home in November with an arrest warrant for her partner, who was wanted on theft charges in Fairbanks, Alaska.”

“Newsome was at work at the base at the time and refused to immediately come home and assist the officers in finding her partner, whom she married in Iowa - where gay marriage is legal - in October.”

Don’t ask, don’t tell is a misnomer. It as never to be construed as allowing a service member to engage in homosexual activity...even in private. IF a homosexual is willing to not engage in homosexual activity....then their “orientation” is not considered important. We don’t ask if they are homosexual in their inclinations and they don’t tell us. BUT they cannot practice the act. This airmen was in a homosexual relationship that went so far as to be a “marriage.” SHE DID NOT KEEP TO THE REAL PRINCIPLES OF the rule which would better be called “we won’t ask, you don’t tell or do.”
She “outed” herself by getting married.
