Yhe Yankees handled this badly, but made a business decision to cut Tynan loose. I assume George Steinbrenner made the final call, or at least Hal.
I would suggest Kelli O'Hara be Tynan's replacement during the playoffs. She sang God Bless America at the World Series Game 6 and was incredible.
It's on YouTube.

I was at the first game of the ‘96 Series where the Yanks took a 12-1 shellacking, and clearly remember Ol’ Blue Eyes version after that game ... I was thinking: “What the ...?!?!!!”
To: Vaquero
the progressives are all METS fans.... So explain then why he was run out of town.
To: Col Frank Slade
oh we do not need the Irish singing at Yankee stadium. Please cut it out.
they won NO world series with Tynan.
get a WOP like my Gumba Sinatra who sings after every home win....or a Jew like Robert Merril who led the Yankees to many WS wins.

Do you mean that there can never be curse against the almighty Yankees? There is a first time for everything. Hell, the Saints won a Super Bowl. What more evidence do you need!

Wait - if you support Rudy Giuliani you get banned from this board? Doesn’t that make this kind of an echo chamber, kind of like the White House (except different)? I strongly support Giuliani - and hope he’ll change his mind and take on Gillibrand for the Senate.

They fired him for this? WTH? Nutcases.
This is what happened in the apartment building on East 54th Street in October: A realtor was showing the apartment next to Tynans and asked if Tynan would say hello to some prospective buyers. The realtor told Tynan the prospective buyers were a couple of nice Jewish ladies. Tynan warned the ladies he often sang in his apartment.
Howd you like living next to a loud tenor like me? Tynan asked them, jokingly.
Turned out they wouldnt, and they didnt buy the apartment. A short time later, another person was looking at the apartment and Tynan was putting the key in his door when a different realtor came out from next door and said they had another prospective buyer.
Dont worry, the realtor said, theyre not Red Sox fans.
As long as theyre not those Jewish ladies, Tynan replied.

You’ll have to take up your support for Guiliani with the management. I don’t make such decisions. But as a factual matter, anybody who was supporting Guiliani during the early primaries last time was shown the door (in the same way Romney supporters will be shown the door before too long).
I suggest you write to Jim Rob and convince him of your support for Rudy. LOL

Yup..they sure did. And the city of New York drove him out so he had to move and chose to move to Boston.
He was receiving death threats etc.

Ancient history is kewl. I enjoy it too. Gotta give it to the Yankees though. They employed the Obama strategy and it worked, so they have one championship in the 21st Century now.
Just like Obama...if you just keep throwing more and more money at a problem eventually something good might happen.

if you just keep throwing more and more money at a problem eventually something good might happen sooooooo the New York Yankee ownership, which of the 30 MLB teams there are 20 team owners that have MORE MONEY than the Yankees Owners. dump everydime back into the team and craft a fine team that wins 27 world championships. and that to you is like Obama....not like Capitalism right???

Um. Yeah. They don’t dump money back into the team. They just spend more and more money buying what other teams have developed. Just like Obama takes what others have produced. Tax and spend.

Bull$H!T
they fine tune their farm clubs and keep the best...trade the rest. while the teams who WONT spend the money on the team take money (via the socialist luxury tax) from teams like the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox and other teams that do spend money...and those so calle small market team owners POCKET THE MONEY and do not spend it....
