Tiger Woods said Tuesday he will return to golf next month at the Masters, ending a four-month hiatus brought on by a sex scandal that shattered his image as the gold standard in sports.
"The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect," Woods said in a statement. "After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta."

Another overpaid, underworked celebrity. Too much time on his hands to get into trouble.
Well, maybe now that he’ll be back golfing, we won’t have to read about his sordid life every day.
Good for him. He committed no crime, and his (soon ex) wife will take him to the cleaners.
This is gonna be tough for him. I know I will tune in. I usually put golf on to sleep by, but this is gonna be the best reality show on TV. I dislike reality shows intensely, but it will be interesting to see if Tiger can pull this off with grace. He had gotten to be a pretty self-involved, unpleasant person. Will we like the new improved Tiger?
Perhaps for a few days until the Press quiets down. Then he'll return to being a terse player. He'll also know they're watching his room for late night visitors and etc.
Wouldn't be surprised to see some flashers in the crowd. This could be a circus.
Good thing I don't like the circus or golf.
Great place to pick up women?
Martha Burke is going to pummel Augusta National with this. And this time the media won’t ignore her this time. All the cable outlets will have vans outside the gates on Washington Street.
His return will be difficult. The PGA prides itself on NOT being b-ball, football etc. Golf doesn’t do “whores” and “porn stars”. They don’t do rap and gangs. A game for gentlemen and a “G” rated spectator sport. (behind closed doors there’s all kinds of sh^^ going on. Not for the eyes of the public)
It just hit me: The women that were always “protesting” at the Masters where just using it as cover while they were really there for tiger.
PGA - Parental Guidance Averted.
The Masters is the most tightly-controlled golf tournament in the country. Passes are virtually impossible to get; we’re talking thousands of dollars for one round. Augusta National even dictates coverage restrictions to CBS, and CBS goes along with it because it’s such a moneymaker. They won’t stand for Tiger-heckling.
This is the best possible environment for him to come back. He won’t have to deal with a boisterous crowd, and he’s on a course that he’s absolutely humbled in the past.

I don't know about that. I think of NOW giving Slick Willy a pass back when. Tiger, with the comparisons to 0, will also get a pass from these faux feminists who don't really speak for true women's dignity at all.
