If the Michigan Militia says these guys are loony tunes I’m inclined to believe them. However the feds coming in like an army doesn’t exactly promote calm.

It would have been a lot wiser to let local cops deal with this quietly and send the feds to find out what the hell is going on in Hemet California.

Hutaree was named in a list of 512 so-called active "patriot" groups in the U.S. last year by the Southern Poverty Law Center in its spring intelligence report on extremist organizations. Of those groups, 127 were militias, including Hutaree. The remaining groups, according to SPLC, engage in "groundless conspiracy theorizing" or advocate anti-government doctrines.

The Klan is all but gone and neither of these groups are in the south. Since when did being a militia member equate to being a Klan member?

I saw this story on Foxnews this morning. The MSM has finally found an 'evil scary white guy militia' to provide the Obamanation with more fodder for portraying conservatives as whacked out extremists.

They've been trying to use that canard (which kind of worked for Bill Clinton) since Zero took office, but unlike back when Janet burned Waco, there just wasn't much 'citizen militia' activity and many of us saw this as a another straw man.

Usually, the MSM ignores stories coming from Foxnews, it will be interesting to see how the Big Three spin it. I expect a lot of talk about violent "teabaggers" from the usual suspects.

Several of these people are going to appear in court this morning, and we will hopefully have some indication as to what the probable cause for these raids was, and it had better be damned good.

This series of raids in at least three different States did not just happen, it had to be authorized at the highest level of the Justice Department, Eric Holder himself, and given the Administration’s penchant for control, Holder probably briefed Premier Hussein himself, and got permission to proceed.

Lots to know about this, but too few facts so far. Let’s see what the first court appearances yield later this morning before we go to General Quarters...

Searched some old stories where Feds were called to act under fear in present day Washington History could repeat itself:

"Survivalism"-- a retreat from the world into self-sufficient enclaves -- thus becomes the strategy of choice.
