Obama Says U.S. Would Defend Israel Militarily
Reuter, 1-Apr-2010
President Obama said yesterday the United States would defend Israel militarily if necessary against Iran, a statement that appeared to be his most explicit commitment to Israel's defense.
In an interview with Reuters, Obama said he is concerned about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's "menacing talk" about Israel, such as his comments denying the Holocaust and saying Israel should be wiped off the map.
"Israel is a solid ally of the United States. We will rise to Israel's defense, if need be. So this kind of menacing talk is disturbing. It's not only disturbing to the United States, it's disturbing for other countries in the world, as well," Obama said.
Asked whether he meant the United States would rise to Israel's defense militarily, Obama said: "You bet, we'll defend Israel."
...
If I was Israel, I wouldn’t trust the SOB in the White House with its intelligence else it might end up on Imanutjob’s blackberry!
Chock it up to that"negro" dialect when he wants it.
If indeed Obama did say such a thing the "but" would sound something like "But is will take us some time to bring our forces to bear." Meanwhile the glowing dust slowly settles to earth and silence reigns.
The troop ship arrived a month too late to make a difference, so sad, we tried.

Same thought I posted on another thread...he says one thing (or people hear what they want to hear him say and don’t really listen to what he’s saying)and then does the opposite and isn’t called out on it.
Yeah. I’m SURE Bibi is REEEEELY counting on it.
Uh oh, Oblabla’s lips moved. We know he’s lying. Good luck Israel.
Pay no attention to what Obama says. Watch what he does.
Whose says BO has no sense of humor. This is obviously an April Fool’s joke.

“You bet, we’ll defend Israel.”
The comma is an inference by the transcriber. Obama didn’t make any promises or predictions about defense; he just suggested that the reporter make a bet on it.
