The first rule of being a survivalist is not telling anyone you are a survivalist.
In a broken society, anything goes.....this means whatever is in your house. (and all of the ammo int he world will not hold people at bay forever if conditions are bad enough)

You know, one thing I so seldom hear is that these people who are going to shoot everyone who comes at their door will have an awful lot of decaying corpses around. What a nightmare of a thought. It’s better to network and prepare others in my opinion, if nothing else, not plan to kill those who would probably be just as willing to kill you for their next meal.
Those who think they will fend off everyone will have to bury all the bodies, burn them, or deal with the stench, disease, and rodents/carnivores. It’s a thought I think a lot never think about. I wouldn’t want to either.
