Aaron Kelly
11 minutes into the show, we finally get a musical performance.
Aaron Kelly is first with "The Long and Winding Road". This song is tailor-made for the trained seals. Waving their arms slowly. The song isn't bad, but the kid's delivery is very dull.
Randy: Yo, yo. Aaron what's going down, baby? Here we go. You still got a great voice. Didn't love the arrangement. Sleepy. Needed to be changed up. Something different. Kinda laid still.
Ellen: That's a big song to take on. Felt like a long and winding song.
Kara: You've been delivering good performances, but you need to be great. Same performance every week. I would like to see you move, do a different type of song.
Simon: Why did you choose that song? (Aaron says that "this whole journey has been a long and winding road". Simon rolls his eyes, LOL) It was old fashioned. (there is a LOUD boo from the audience, sounded like it was from one person--a guy. It makes all the judges turn around.) If I may finish? ...

Can’t wait to find out what retro’s prize is for 10,000th post. That's the real reason to check the thread tonight, since I haven't watched the show since Degenerate appeared.

Glad to see Simon’s eye roll when he started comparing his Idol adventure to a Long and Winding Road.
I read some columnist the other day who said the smartest person Americans see on TV every week is Simon Cowell. He was right.

I agree, they're really stretching the show thin with these two hour shows. One hour would be plenty of time for 9 songs and some witty banter.

86 here in Richmond. Pollen count off the charts.
1/2 hour ago it was 92.
But I have central air and it is a long-term stay so I don’t directly pay. That and a beer and my friends here on the thread and life is good.
