I had grand ideas of making a large and popular website dedicated to toast.
I was going to have a large section of toast recipes.
A section for toppings and spreads.
Another section dedicated to toaster reviews.
Maybe a travel section where people could tell stories of toast from other countries.
A photo gallery of famous people eating toast.

I was going to get rich from the advertising dollars of toaster and bread companies.

I tried to shamelessly use my screen name as advertising for my website.

I never really got around to the website part of it.

Normally when I spar with the ditchcarp leftists, I tend to use language even they recoil from......Alas, no such battles on this site.

After a long exchange with a moonbat on another site he said to me, “you’re a true vulgarian aren’t you”. Must have been a British lefty.

;)

Mine is july4thfreedomfoundation.

It’s from the 1980’s TV mini-series “Amerika,” which showed what life would be like in the former United States ten years after a takeover by the Soviet Union.

It was never clear about how the takeover happened, but it had something to do with an EMP attack on the U.S. by the Russians.

Anyhow, in the mini-series, our Congress was nothing more than home-grown American collaborators who were appointed by the Soviet occupation forces. No one was elected. At some point during the mini-series, a resistance group blew up the Capitol Building and killed the Soviet appointed stooges. The resistance group wrote their name on the sidewalk in front of the ruins of the Capitol Building. The name of the resistance group: July 4th Freedom Foundation or some such name. When I signed up on Free Republic, this mini-series popped up in my mind, for whatever reason.

It is my own name. I am my own boss, and am not ashamed to have strong opinions, and everyone who knows me knows I am pretty far out on the right side of politics. Posting under my own name helps keep me from lapsing into illegal or disgraceful comments in my darker moments. My parents raised me to live my life as if anything I said or did could be front-page news, and keeping things in my own name helps me follow their advice.

And all this time I've been mispronouncing it. I have been saying Laz-ma-taz, but it is La-za-ma-taz. Where is the accent?

PAN YAN means smart ass im sure of it

I am capable of serious conversation when the opportunity arises. However, pulling a Rambo on a thread by kicking in the door, posting a snarky comment and then running off somewhere else is much easier to do.

I didn’t put much thought into mine. It was what I did. I’ve been around here for a while and my girls are now 24 and 26 and out of the house. I didn’t want to change my name!

I tried just using the_devils_advocate (I didn’t know you could use spaces) and the system told me it was taken. So to make it unique I added the 666. I’ve always been fascinated by how some people get all excited about a silly number. When I first became a member a number of people prayed for me, thanks. As a conservative atheist I usually avoid all the religion, pro-life, and intelligent design threads. I just have no dog in those fights.
