You two convinced me. I’ve been eyeing the CZ-52 since I saw a post by Travis McGee on the weapon. Maybe this weekend ...

Connecticut is popularly known as
The Nutmeg State. Kind of silly, but if you lived here, you'd understand... :-)

why is my screen name madamemayhem? why not?
i believe:
normal is boring and sanity is overrated.
if the screwdriver doesn’t work, use a hammer.
if at first you don’t succeed, blow it up.
if you love something set it free, if it doesn’t
come back, hunt it down and put it in a cage.
do not run away, do not hide, and NEVER surrender.

It’s a variation of what I used on several listservs before I started separating online identities. When I signed up I was told the name “rocker” was already taken so I altered the spelling.
It’s what I do (or did...not so much nowadays)...

I like to drive the Big, EEEEvil sport utility vehicles. Sport Utes I have owned: Dodge Ram Charger (my first love), Jeep Cherokee (ugh, no more Chrysler), Chevy Blazer, (rolled it!), Ford Explorer, and my current and fave: Honda Pilot. You can take my sportute when you pry the keys from my cold dead hands.

I like it a lot, I like the feel of it better than a Glock. Not disparaging the Glock mind you - I know people who prefer it. But the CZ impressed me more.

I’ve always struggled to distinguish libertarianism from conservatism.
One day I was hanging out with a conservative buddy, and a local Libertarian candidate happened by. I asked him what the difference was. First, I made sure he wasn’t into it just to legalize pot.
He listed about 20 things his group stands for, and to each one we said that’s the same thing we believed. When he ran out of “differences” I suggested the reason he was in the Libertarian Party was that he was sincere about his beliefs but was afraid of winning.
He had no response.

Delmont remembers Batavia, it was a brand of lobster tails that had a cartoon type picture of a Aborigine with a big big smile, and a big big lobster on the end. As I recall a lot of warehouse workers in the USA were put off because they thought the packer was trying to promote, the old fashioned stero type of a big lipped Negra.
ern- Ernie was a great goat RIP.
I liked the name ernBatavia better than phockthis....Delmont C Roosevelt ,Esq.
