Sadly, because of our mutual love of goats, I thought we had a commonality and I liked her.
I reckoned that anyone who loves goats had to be a wonderful person.
[I know...not a very wise judgment call...I’m kinda stupid that way]
But still, I don’t totally blame her; I blame the one who whispers his pernicious lies into her ear.
[be that as it may, I did LMAO over your post...such a way with words]...:))

Apparently a sheep will beat a goat in a fight.
They both use a head butt.
But a goat will rear first and butt downward.
While he’s doing that the sheep butts straight forward
and catches him in the gut.

Chet's threads have become more educational lately.
We learned about ticks and Lyme disease on another one.
And they've become the place to go for up-to-date Hippo facts and news.

If you have a fondness for the bizarre yet plausible, it’s a really great movie.
[and it *is* based on some of the “black psy-ops” stuff our guys were messing with..and probably still are]
Very enjoyable, either way.
[even with Clooney in it]...;]

Light always vanquishes darkness....:)
[and no more hippo talk tonight...I live near the river and people might have dumped them when they got too big to keep, just like the boas and snake heads]

If I was the father, I’d go ahead and kill the owner of the dog. If I was the owner, I’d consider suicide.

I suspect that thugs switched to pits for their own safety. None of the other breeds listed above would long tolerate the abuse they suffer at the hands of their masters without retaliation.
Pits tend to put up with just about anything from the people they [often foolishly] love.
Sadly, you are right. Pit Bulls are particularly sweet tempered, and also extremely tolerant. There is also one other factor, if they picked a more dangerous breed (and there are many more dangerous breeds), than the idiot owners would get more seriously harmed. Honestly, if a Doberman or Rottweiler turn on you, you are in a world of trouble.
