Kearny is my old home town, born and raised. One of my older brothers started working at this Shop-Rite 40 years ago stocking shelves , he left 10 years ago it’s top manager and now works for Wakefern-Shop Rite as one of it’s top food brokers. This store is located along the eastern side of the Passiac River in Kearny , and Newark is on the other side. The area around the store has been a dangerous and grimy shit-hole for about 40 years. Doesn’t surprise me this happened , glad no one was hurt.

In Fulton, NY once, a less than brilliant thug tried to rob one of the local grocery stores. He bought a pack of gum to trick the cashier into opening the drawer and handed her a dollar bill. Problem was, the gum was more than a dollar. But if he used his shoppers club card he could get it for under a dollar and buy it.
So he hands the girl his card, she opens the drawer, he pulls out a gun and robs her, in full view of the store security cameras with the cash register recording the sale from his store card.
The police were waiting for him at his home when he got there.
Criminals are sooooo stupid.
