LOL!
Wow. He was really a part of a different musical revolution love him or hate him.
Not sure. But PIL is currently on tour.
They had two reunion tours. Steve and Lydon live in LA. Steve had a rdio DJ gig. Their studio engineer, Chris Thomas I think, had recorded many many groups. He raved about Steve Jones playing even though Steve was self taught and had only been playing for a few years.
LOL! He was on Red Eye? I would have loved to see that.
He did a Survivor reality show with UK celebs a few years ago shot in Australia. He was a favorite on the show due to his quips and nothing bothered him. He quit the show because his wife flew in and they failed to tell him. He is paranoid about flying cause he and his wife luckily missed flying on the Lockerbie flight. He adores his German wife.
Matlock and Lydon were very good together writing songs. Malcolm was always stirring it up.
Lydon the lyrics and Matlock the music. Matlock actually liked a lot of pop music like The Beatles. Matlock would play the songs for Jones on acoustic to teach him the songs. Jones refused to play any “wanky Beatles chords.” Jones said I only play bar chords and that is all you get.
For a self taught guitarist playing for a few years and for essentially being a street urchin, Jones was incredible.
One other thing to remember about “punk.” The Ramones from NYC came before The Pistols and the bandwagon jumpers The Clash came later and Strummer was a real posuer.
Lydon was able to see the Ramones before anyone had heard of The Pistols. The brains and the real sound of The Ramones was Johnny Ramone aka John Cummings

He was a working class kid from Queens who idolized....Reagan. He was a staunch Republican who fought with singer Joey Ramone aka Jeffrey Hyman a liberal who was semi-literate. They rarely talked it was so bad.
Yes, the Classic Albums DVD (and especially the bonus footage, almost another 40 minutes) is good.
Many of the episodes are (but not all of them).
He has a kick ass solo album,”Fire and Gasoline”.
Buffalo Gals go ‘round the outside.
LOL! That song was fairly annoying...but I did remember it.
All four of the original members were together for that tour in the ‘90s and they did a European summer festival tour together as recently as a couple of years ago.
Jones’ radio show on Indie 103.1 lasted for five years until the whole station ceased terrestrial radio broadcast at the beginning of last year. He was broadcasting on the internet at Relativity Media’s www.iamrogue website from December of last year until a couple of weeks ago when he decided he didn’t want to do internet radio anymore. If a suitable job at at traditional radio station presents itself, I think he will be happy to be back on the air again.
“...a potential Haitch bomb...”
