You just NEVER knew what the powers-that-be at Citadel and future permanent WMAL program directors & managers will do with The Planteman.
I’m Puerto Rican, so I have plenty to “Bitch & Moan” for on a daily basis.
If I call Hayes on-air tomorrow, I might start with a: “OH NO, YOU DID-N’T!!”

Nothing is “permanent” when it comes to programming an AM radio station.
Just look at the changes for DC’s old 1260-AM stand-by:
Over the years the station changed calls from WOL to WWDC to WGAY to WWRC.
And more recently, the format has changed from “Beautiful Music” to “CNN Headline News” to “Air America” to “Obama 1260” to “Red Chip Radio” and now to “Salem Rightwing Talkers.”
Well, at least the last incarnation is something a few FReepers might approve (if, unlike me, they can pick up the station’s weak signal).
But don’t be surprised if the format is totally different six months from now!
