Thanks. A 45 ACP is my next purchase, actually. I'm just wondering what to do with my 357..... What kind is it ? Make model barrel length . I too carry a 1911 type .45 ACP almost exclusively because I think it is the best set up for personal defense for me . I only carry my revolvers now days when I am on my way to shoot them . If I had to go back to carrying .357 , .45 colt , 44 mag . It wouldn't really bother me a bit . Good leather . The good news for you is that with the renewed interest in all guns , has come something of a resurgence of enthusiasm for wheel guns . My Smiths are worth about 25% more than a year and a half ago . Good luck . The Smith&Wessonforum.com has classifieds and info how to keep on the right side of the law , as is the goal of every Freeper .

Mine is a Taurus .357 mag with a 4" barrel. I am an engineer by profession and training and the Taurus sure looks like a well made weapon to me; although I don't know much about gun manufacture. I understand that the Taurus that I have was made in Brazil from Beretta machine tools and design. Nice gun, very crisp.
Beautiful pic of the leather holster. Who makes it?

I have a few Smiths too. A Model 29 exactly like yours in this post and a 4” Model 27. They are beautifully crafted and excellent shooting guns.
