I lost a big chunk of my heart when my husband and I had to put down the cat we adopted as a kitten shortly after we were married. She developed brain cancer at thirteen.

I know there isn’t solid Scripture to support pets in heaven, but I think we’ll get those chunks of heart back when our pets greet us, tails wagging, wondering, “what took you so long?”

I have an 11-year old Tonkinese named Perri. When her time comes it’ll be devastating for me, and I treasure every day I have with her...even when she meows at 2AM because she’s lonely.

My dog, a Shiba Inu is now 11. I have never had a dog so loving before. A real part of the family. He's doing fine now, slowing up a bit, but knowing what is ahead someday for us is heartbreaking. One of those sad task my Dad would always be the one to do, but this time the burden will fall on me.

But like I said, God made him in the first place and brought us together on this Earth. It is not beyond his power to do it again in the Heaven. There is no doubt animals also hold a special part in the creators heart.
