Isn't the police's job to make sure that, in a part of the country where there is massive illegal immigration, to use common sense to try to make it less appetizing for illegal actions to occur there? In the reality-based world, what kind of people are ruining it for the legally-admitted folks?
We can do what we know, based on fact, will make it less appealing for illegals to come in. Or we can throw up our hands and say "We can't be mean or let the police have the power to enforce the law."

Well, we can shoot them as they dash across the border. Then there would be no question as to their illegal status. Once they are ten feet across the border, in United States territory, then let’s bust some caps on them. I have no problem with that. Sounds like you’d probably go along with that, as well. Hard to violate that if you are not a citizen. This is a State law and powers not reserved specifically to the Feds are reserved for the States. The Constitution gives States wider latitude since it is easier to vote with your feet to another State than another country.

Not the best logic you use there, Bucko. The fact that those crossing the Southern border are brown doesn't make it racial profiling. It's simply a fact of life.
Nor does that mean that anyone who insists on a secure border is racially motivated. It means we want America as secure as possible.
Nor does it mean that we're opposed to immigration. We're opposed to illegal immigration and the drain it imposes on our economy and job growth.
