Yeah, well I went to a private school and would have received a healthy dose of corporal punishment for such a stunt.
What was the “crime”? Synchronized Tomfoolery?
I’m SO glad I’m not a teacher.
ooooh, *kife!*
If you want to have fun at school, detentions is part of life, get used to it.
I spent so much time in detention the teacher in charge wouldn’t take me anymore so I hung out in the office. It may have had something to do with a little contraption that would light a match and snuff it out when she sat in her chair. She kept smelling smoke, was certain that I was lighting matches but could never see me doing it.
I was in the office so much that they put me to work. I answered the phones, ran to the bank etc. I eventually learned how to disassemble and repair the steno machine. The secretary loved having a man around the house.
My senior year, they finally told me, to go start college, they gave me my deploma and I left. That was the best thing the public school system ever did for me.
LOL! This is not far from where I live. I liked the suggestion of two days’ remedial English instruction for the letter-writer.
Youre fortunate to have learned so early and so inexpensively just how up-tight teachers and administrators are now. They have all the humor and tolerance of the TSA airport guys. Maybe a little grimmer and more paranoid, if thats even possible.
Engage these humorless twits only when absolutely necessary, and be prepared for senseless narrow-mindedness at all times. Never leave anything up to their imagination, because they have very little, and what little they do have is twisted into dark ways.
There is an alternative to simply quitly suffering these idiots. And thats to take em on and tweak their noses at EVERY opportunity. This will lead you to a noisy, complicated, and eventful life, so be sure youre up for the battle if you decide to go this way. They will resent being tweaked, and they will seek to get back at you so be sure the battle is worth the blood. Some are: some arent. It all depends on your attitude and strength.
What happened to humor in our world?
Before break? That's harsh.
Maybe this will help...think of it as a 'practical joke' being played by the administration.
