The VA is quite effective now days. Most of its patients have died off. Most doctors are effective with dead patients. (WWII vets, the bulk of patients in the VA, are dying of old age).

I can only assume that you are not familiar with the VA Medical Systems in Chicago, IL, Maywood, IL, or Dallas Texas. The Dallas VA takes great pride in their 45% patient approval. A friend (utilizes the VA in Dallas) ordered med refills online, he didn't receive the meds, reordered again and still no meds. After 3 months of no meds he called. After being on hold for 1.5 hours he was finally told the meds were backordered and he needs to get his doc to request a substitute. It took an additional 3 weeks to get a substitute for the original script.

I took him to an appointment recently. The employees were positively horrid in the treatment of the vets.
