You either like Glocks or you don’t.
Apparently.
I like Glocks. I don’t like that thing.
I didn’t like the older ones, but I got my hands on a Gen 4 at my favorite gun shop. Sweet! Even the trigger pull [which I HATED] is nice.
Now the probvlem is choosing between the 9mm. and the S&W 40. Since I’m trying to limit my ammo types to .357 and .38 special for the revolvers, and .45 ACP and 9mm. for the pistols [availability of ammo], I’m leaning toward the 9mm.
Ummmm I have owned four of them and sold all four over a period of years. I can take 'em or leave 'em. I liked my Glock M21 45 for IDPA competitions, but it was too honkin' HUGE to carry in the south Florida heat. The Glock 30 45 was smaller, but the grip was too blocky. I liked that but wanted an XD45 which was a much better grip, so I sold that to my nephew. The Glock M23 had waaaay too much barrel whip and got rid of that since it induced a lot of flinch. I think my fav Glock was M27 which wasn't a lot of fun to shoot at static targets and induced the same flinch, but was awesome for IDPA and that I think was the "Sundance Kid" syndrome. You know: "Can I move? I'm better when I move." Kept that gun the longest but eventually sold it when I determined I didn't want to keep stockpiling just one odd caliber for just one weapon. I've stuck to 9mm and 45acp ever since. But Glocks? EH. So so. They're okay ... I guess.
