The vocabulary beginning here is sounding like that used by the UFO/Alien out of the body lingo....this is the juncture where science and the absurd leave one another and people go off the deep end of reality.

People need to stay grounded on the known, tried and true...look but don’t get into so deep the reality of the now is lost in the “hope” of what you might desire to be true but is not....” The just shall live by faith”

“...this is the juncture where science and the absurd leave one another and people go off the deep end of reality.”

I imagine this is what was said to those who had the good fortune to witness one of Christ’s “signs” and went home to tell their family and friends about it.

I believe in miracles. Christ performed them. He knew some people’s faith needed encouragement and He gave them signs to help them. I believe the Shroud is left here for us as a sign. If you don’t need it, great. If you are one of those who, like Thomas, need proof, then what better proof than a relic of the miraculous moment of the Resurrection? As time marches on, science is catching up to the Shroud and beginning to unlock its mysteries. Those who need scientific proof to believe could be helped by studying the Shroud.

I don’t need the Shroud to believe, but I’m happy it’s here— and I thank God for looking after each one of us and our individual needs.
