Partner violence more likely if gay

Lesbians, gays and bisexuals in California are almost twice as likely to experience intimate partner violence as heterosexuals, researchers said.

Elaine Zahnd, a sociologist at the Public Health Institute, partnered with the University of California, Los Angeles, Center for Health Policy Research in conducting the California Health Interview Survey, which found almost 4 million adults in California reported being a victim of physical or sexual violence from an intimate partner.

One-quarter of the 4 million report being forced by their intimate partner to have sex, the researchers said.

Almost 28 percent of lesbian or gay adults in California report intimate partner violence during their adult lives, 40.6 percent of bisexuals report intimate partner violence and 16.7 percent of heterosexual adults report intimate partner violence, the study said.

“These findings should cause us to reconsider our assumptions about the root causes of violence, even as we redouble our efforts to eradicate it,” Zahnd said in a statement.

Women are almost twice as likely to be victims of adult physical violence as men and are eight times as likely to report being the victim of sexual violence since age 18, the study said.

This isn't new. The sexually peculiar in general have always been not only been more likely to have been abused but are more likely to abuse and abuse themselves. It is a cycle and it is ignored.

even as we redouble our efforts to eradicate it,

You'll have to make humans extinct to get rid of human nature.

What a “frustrating” fact, as Contessa Brewer said about the Times Square bomber...

People with mental processing defects are more likely to be violent to their “partner”....

Never would have occurred to me in a million years....

SSAD.

Isn't that what Obamacare is for?

This all comes under the leftist umbrella of "domestic violence" -another well funded "social justice" program...

It takes a village...

A major perversion in one aspect of character usually means perversions in others as well.

It is interesting data. But it does not go nearly far enough into specifics. For example, there are gays who pursue same-sex partners because of early trauma with the opposite sex. Here I expect you will find the majority of violence issues.

Then there are homosexuals who truly have an individual, personal inclination towards members of their same sex. We don’t know if it’s biological, hereditary, hormonal or what, but it is organic to that person. I imagine the stats on domestic violence for these people, for whom early, traumatic violence (especially sexual) was no more significant than the typical “straight” person’s, are more in line with those typical of heterosexual couples.

Bottom line: flawed sampling.

But that's not rape rape.

Oh, I understand your misunderstanding.

Obamacare is supposed to get rid of HUMANS,

not human NATURE.

I don’t know anyone who biologically is forced to have sex with anyone no more than some one who has shoe fetishes or other peculiar attractions. As for the stats these stats have not changed. They just confirm once again that there is a significant difference between those who are no heterosexual and those who aren’t in terms of violence towards partners. You seem to be in denial. I know that is easy given today’s surface thinking on this issue. Just do a query on Domestic Violence homosexual or Domestic Violence Bisexual etc. It isn’t just them though. Almost all those that fall outside the sexual mainstream have greater histories of abuse with a far greater incidence of being abused as a juvenile.

That's the trouble with gays...when one says to the other "I'm gonna pound the crap out of you"...he can't tell if it's a threat or foreplay!

Sorry, that was really bad wasn't it?

BULL!

They may be twice as likely to accuse a man of physical violence, but even the last DOJ report stated that it was even.

The problem is the leftists have made laws that allow women to falsely accuse men of abuse to instantly get an upper hand on them in divorce proceedings as well as allowing the government to confiscate their weapons.

The ease at which they are allowed to accuse creates a destructive environment for marriage, which is what government wants.

“Partner violence more likely if gay”

Wouldn’t you if you lived with a fruit? Wait’ll they try to turn military barracks into palaces of erotic gay fantasies-there will be bloodshed.

Wonderful...let's let them adopt more kids whose lives they can destroy.

I took my daughter to a ballet event at the local library with the local girls ballet. There were 17 little girls there...and ONE BOY. A black kid whose "father" was a homo. I heard the little boy say "But I need my ballet shoes". He disrupted the entire event and the homo did nothing. What a freakin mess. I was going to say something, but this is the N.E. and my ass would end up in jail for looking at him crosseyed. Who brings a boy to a girl's ballet event? Disgraceful that we EVER allowed them to adopt. Too late now.
