Straw would work better it seems. Hays are all different depending on the grass’s growing in the pasture...Aflalfa vs. Timothy vs and other numbers of grass. Straw would be more obsorbant as it is drier that hay..but I didn’t read the article.

It’s gunna take a lotta straw/etc. just to try to

cover the coastline,,,

The last I heard the spill is about 100 miles X 40 miles,,,

I guess now we’ll have an early hurricane or two...

THey pointed out that straw wasn’t ready yet — too early in the season. They chose their materials depending on what is readily available right now.

I was thinking straw too. We have lots of that here in NJ that my horses don’t eat. Even if hay were used my horses are eating more & more grass each day. It looked like a good idea & I was impressed. Seems simple enough. I watched the video & it looked like a good idea if they were being honest. Hmm I don’t like to have to wonder if everything I see now if people aren’t scamming.
