Not sure this is a big deal, even if the number is “from” Connecticut. My oldest son was born in Boston, but we didn’t get his SS# until we moved down to Houston. So he has a SS# that is “from” Texas. This could mean that the numbers are distributed based on where they are issued, not where the person is born.

you are exactly correct.. but you need to research this a bit more ... WHY Did President Obama get a Connecticut Soc. Sec. Number.. that is the question.. we know that IS what he HAS.. but the real question is WHY... your explanation is LOGICAL.. his is NON-EXISTENT.
