Actually they do. the first 3 numbers tell you where the card was applied from. Had a Dentist in the Navy who’s hobby was to ask you what your first 3 were and then he’d try and guess your home state. Even showed me the sheet. (He guessed wrong, but sure as heck there were my first 3 listed under Texas)

I’m not so sure...my first 3 aren’t from the state I was born in, and my next 2 most definitely aren’t the year it was applied for.
