People that watch only for Tiger don’t play golf, never will, and have no interest in the game itself. As soon as Tiger isn’t there any more, neither will they be.

I recall a thread a while back when Tiger missed a cut. Several posters said they wouldn't watch w/o Tiger. That's the difference in a Tiger Woods fan and a golf fan.

I've been playing since the early 70s when I was on my high school's golf team. I was also on my high school surfing team. You could say I had diverse interests.
