You were saying ...

I’d like to think that God has the power to change the hearts of even the lowest elements of mankind. If people can’t determine their own identities, then all hope is lost.

I know other ex-Muslims who have "changed their hearts" like (ex-terrorist) Walid Shoebat. He has taken a stand for Jesus, the Messiah of Israel -- as his personal savior and speaks out on these very things, on behalf of what the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has done for him -- and against the evil and oppressive idealogy of Islam.

When I see the present Miss USA doing that -- then I'll know she has a "change in heart" too ...

You're assuming that becoming a devout Christian is the only possible conversion possible. It's not. Matter of fact, it's far more likely that she has been genuinely converted to the areligious American norm.

Now by that I mean the reality of America today. Folks might say they're Christians or Jews, or whatever, every time gallup does a poll, but the truth is that most of them are out on Saturday night communing with Jose and Jack. Movies, TV, X-Box, nightclubs et al get more face time with the average American than anything even remotely spiritual.
