Looking for name/artist of song

OK, this has been driving me crazy. There is a song that every time I hear it, I think it is an instrumental version of the Ghostbusters theme song. And no, it is not Huey Lewis. I think Rush sometimes uses it as bumper music.

“Soul Finger” is the song that the Russians play during a scene in “Spies Like Us” with Chevy Chase and Dan Akroyd.

I thought I was crazy, but looking on the innerwebs, I’m not the first to notice the similarity to the Ghostbusters theme.

The melody sounds very much like *Get back to where you one belonged*.

One of the funniest scenes in the film is when Dan Aykroyd discusses the capabilities of the Soviet ICBM.

I’m sorry you found it. I listened to three of their songs and was not impressed at all. You were better off with the intrigue of searching for it than what you get after finding it.

That was quick.
I have tried for years to find out the ‘main’ bumper song to Hugh Hewitt (yes, I even tried emailing).

No one has any idea.
It’s just some orchestration/instrumental (inspiring, though).

I’ll likely go to my grave not knowing.
Me and many others.
