Siobhan Magnus was the only "Idol" contestant in 5 years to give me goosebumps

Siobhan for me, had 3 great idol moments. When she sang -- THE HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN, and then when she actually showed how high she could go with Aretha's THINK, and then finally with the Stones' PAINT IT BLACK ( which made people call her "Eve' to Lambert's "Adam").

The surprising thing about the judges is they then expected her to do the flamboyant shrieks every week and castigated her for more subdued performances, which actually hurt her confidence.

When she finally returned to form with Shania's EVERY MAN OF MINE ( Kara Dio Gardi said "She's Back"), the TV audience might have thought that she didn't need the votes at all ( this was the same audience that got Season 3's best -- Fantasia, Latoya London and Jennifer Hudson in the bottom 3 ).

I almost quit watching the show after she got voted out. I was really hoping for a Siobhan-Crystal finale. Oh well, I reckon this show has one more season left and it will be gone by 2012.

She sang Paint It Back on the Letterman Show the week after she was cut. She absolutely nailed ir and you could see appreciation in the faces of the Shaffer band members.

I was reading an old American Idol thread and came across this.....It is still on. I say it has another 5 or more years in it. It will end when Ryan Seacrest leaves though.
