I felt a 3.something 2 years ago.
In Dallas, TX. If you are a native Californian, you may feel them but you don't sweat them until your bed starts moving across the room or you are suddenly seasick from the rolling motion. Nothing is more disconcerting than feeling solid earth becoming liquid.
