Wow, my past is remarkably similar. Grew up in a town of 4k people in northeastern wisconsin. no crime. 1950's feel. mainstreet had soda shops like the 50's, donut shops. We rode our bikes to school from 4 miles out in the country. stopped by the donut shops on the way to school. had a donut and a sundrop with the bikes parked out front (not locked up). This was the early 80's. we rode our bikes from one end of town to the other and never even thought about "what could happen."
How times have changed.

During the 50’s and 60’s we played in the woods and swam in rice canals that had snakes swimming around in them. And I can’t remember ever a child being abducted. This country certainly has much more evil than it had “yesterday”.
