Thank you - he was the tiniest little thing. Sitting on my passion vine, I put my finger over and he climed aboard. Sat there for about 30 minutes without moving.

Yep. Sure enough. That's it.

OK, I'm just going by the label that the photographer, "DrPhotoMoto," gave it. His other insect photos appear to have legitimate names.

Here's another poodle moth, from Venezuela:

I guess in Venezuela the poodle moths have furry legs.

Thats just like the moth that was on my window except this one was slightly different colored. Brighter.

Yeah. He was a really big guy. I was sad to see him leave, though. We were getting attached to him. My grandson named him Goliath. LOL
