I try to avoid sweets, but HFCS is the worst. The problem I’ve found is that it is in everything! I don’t need any sweetener in my yogurt, the fruit does that for me. HFCS also lengthens shelf life. I also don’t want to eat anything with a ten year shelf life, that can’t be good for me either.

Rented “Food, Inc.” the other evening. I know it has a liberal bias, but if even half of it’s true, HFCS and Monsanto are two of the true evils in the world.

Actually, it's not. You just have to be label conscious. I avoid HFCS very successfully by reading the labels. It's not too difficult. Occasionally, I have to choose organic products but there's a lot of non-organics that have sugar. Fortunately, as this article attests to, many companies are wising up and returning to sugar.

Very hard to find pure juice for an affordable price.

Meaning no sugar added, no corn syrup or applejuice blend.

Pineapple juice is 100%.
Grape Juice also.

I am with you about added sugar. Why?

Cheaper than using whole food ing????
I found a snack that does not have Sugar as the main ing.
The are Called Aussie Bites or Something.
Very affordable. Liken it to Oatmeal frut cookies with lotsa seeds/grains.

And definetly I do not buy any food with corn syrup.

I have special needs when it comes to diet.
