It is indeed D-Day + 67 years!

Let us never forget!

I just watched "The Longest Day" again recently, still a great WWII movie!

John Wayne as Lt. Col. Vandy Vandervoort? Of course!

That reminds me, Henry Fonda as Brigadeer General Theodore Roosevelt. With a cane and a limp.

And by contrast, Patton (who was not part of D-Day except as the 'commander' of the fictitious strike at the Pas de Calais) was in real life, an Olympic athlete, according to Victor Davis Hansen...

I ought to look up some real history about Gen. Roosevelt sometime.

That would have only prolonged the war. Once the United States got involved, the end was inevitable. The only question was the length of the war.
