Vet medicine is excellent today. Try not to worry but if your baby is 10 1/2 it is time for you to be thinking about getting a puppy. that is the best way for us folks who dote on your pets because some day we will lose the old ones (but not today). It is easier when there is another one there to console us.
I agree getting a puppy will help when you ultimately lose your older friend. I also agree that vet medicine is excellent today. I’d almost rather go the vet than to a doctor myself. Hope everything works out!
