I was alway under the impression that 44 mag was too hot for the toggle link action of the 73. They must have done some extensive testing to start offering them in that caliber. I have one in 44-40 and love it. It smokes like a freight train with 777 loads. I love the sport of cowboy action shooting
That was my impression as well. The only things I’ve turned up searching the net about this particular gun brought that up in a few forum posts here and there. But I’ve not seen anything by anyone who’s actually shot one of this particular kind.
